Shri. Madhaorao Wankhade Sharirik Shikshan Mahavidyalaya is run by Shri. Sadashivrao Patil Shikshan Sanstha, Kamptee, Dist-Nagpur [M. S.] India. College has its name on the name of  Madhaorao Chandrabhan Wankhade who has leaded Indion team in 1936 Berlin Olympics and also Shiv Chatrapati Award.
            Keeping in view the importance ofleadership quality in Physical Education in the year 1991 the institution gained permission by Maharashtra govt. to establish the college.
            In the year 1991 college was affiliated by Nagpur University and in the same year B. P. Ed. One year course was started in the college.
In 1992 B. P. Ed. [Three year ] course was started by the college. After that in year 199-94 with the permission of Maharashtra State Govt. and Nagpur Unversity M. P. Ed. [Two years] post graduate course was started. Students of different states take admission in this college.
College is also recongnised by National Council of Techer Education, Bhopal.
